Seventh-day Adventist Schools (NNSW) Limited is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Senior School Music Teacher to join the team at Macquarie College, commencing in Term 3, 2026
Macquarie College (MC) is a Preschool to Year 12 independent School, owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The school campus is located on the boarder of Wallsend and Elermore Vale, in the Newcastle area. Responsibilities and Duties:
A Senior School Classroom Music Teacher at Macquarie College is expected to deliver a high standard of teaching and learning practice. This role encompasses the following
key areas:
- Concert Bands
- Vocal Ensembles
- Special Performance Programs (e.g., HRIS Cultural Festival, MC CAPA performance showcases)
- Instrument Development Programs
Responsibilities:
- Attend rehearsals punctually, assisting with setup and pack-up tasks.
- Manage the purchase and acquisition of music resources as needed.
- Maintain and organise the music filing system.
- Copy and prepare music, ensuring folders are organised and up-to-date.
- Provide rehearsal support as required.
- Maintain attendance rolls and liaise with Student Services as necessary.
- Coordinate permission notes, transport bookings, and other logistics for performances.
- Communicate effectively with parents and the regarding rehearsal; schedules.
