Seventh-day Adventist Schools (North New South Wales) is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and passionate year six Teacher to join our Avondale School Campus Team. This is a full-time, long service leave position, Commencing Term 3, 2026 until the end of the 2026 school year.

Avondale School is a Preschool to Year 12 independent School, owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The school is located on an expansive rural campus in Cooranbong NSW, in the Lake Macquarie area. With a history of providing quality Christian education for over 120 years, our mission continues to focus on providing opportunities for students to know Christ, develop their full potential and cultivate a love of learning. We seek to use our extensive resources and skilled staff team to deliver innovative learning and wellbeing opportunities that engage students and develop curiosity. The successful applicant will:
- Model and nurture an active relationship with Jesus and have a knowledge of, and commitment to, supporting the ethos and mission of Avondale School.
- An understanding and commitment to the purpose and ethos of Adventist Education and the Church as described by Adventist Schools Australia and our statements of belief Statements of Belief
- demonstrate the ability to inspire all learners to develop their skills through the use of differentiated practice
- Possess a solid understanding of child development and learning pedagogy
- Demonstrate ability to build nurturing relationships, support social-emotional development, and adapt teaching strategies for learners
- have a student-focused outlook, with the ability to creatively engage students with diverse needs
- possess excellent people skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with all school stakeholders, and work as part of a cohesive team
- be an innovative educator with a growth mindset and a passion for learning
- demonstrate a willingness to collaboratively plan and organise key events as part of the year-level team throughout the school year.
- hold formal teaching qualifications and NESA Accreditation.

Salary Range
Salary will be in Accordance with the Teacher Enterprise Agreement
