Role Description

Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Greater Sydney) Ltd is seeking a Secondary Biology/Science Teacher to join the team at Macarthur Adventist College. This is a full-time teaching position commencing in Term 1, 2027.

We are seeking an outstanding classroom practitioner who is deeply committed to Christian values, works collaboratively as part of a team, and has a genuine passion for teaching and learning. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellence in explicit instruction and model high-quality teaching practices that contribute to improved student outcomes across the Science Department.

The ability to teach additional subjects, particularly Biblical Studies and/or Engineered Systems, would be highly desirable.

Application Requirements

The successful applicant will:

• hold a formal teaching qualification
• be currently registered (or eligible to register) with NESA to teach in NSW
• hold a current Working with Children Check in NSW
• demonstrate capacity to guide, illustrate and demonstrate the college’s teaching framework
• support the Christian ethos and values of the school

It is preferable that the successful applicant be a baptised and practising member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, or a practising Christian supportive of the school’s Seventh-day Adventist identity.
