Seventh-day Adventist Schools (SA) Ltd and Seventh-day Adventist Church (South Australian Conference) Ltd

Role Description:

Prescott Schools and the Seventh-day Adventist Church (South Australian Conference) are seeking to find a full-time Human Resources officer to commence in June 2022 out of the Adelaide office.

As the Project Officer (Human Resources) for Prescott Schools, 0.7 FTE of this full-time role will assist the Director of Education by managing and overseeing issues related to staff orientation and employment, data collection and reporting, injury management, compensation and enterprise agreement/award negotiations on behalf of Prescott Schools employees within South Australia.

As the Human Resources Coordinator for the South Australian Seventh-day Adventist Church Conference, 0.3 FTE of this full-time role will assist the General Secretary by managing and overseeing issues related to staff orientation and employment, data collection and reporting, injury management, compensation and wage schedule negotiations for Conference employees within South Australia.

Location:

The Conference Office is located 5km north of the Adelaide CBD in the suburb of Prospect.

Prescott Schools enrols approximately 1,500 students and employs about 270 teaching and non-teaching staff across three campuses.

The Conference Office employs 27 administrative and support staff, with 24 ordained ministers, lay ministers and serving pastoral workers.

Application Requirements:

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a practicing baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a strong commitment to its mission.  This would incorporate an active relationship with Jesus Christ characterised by a deep desire for worship and service to God;
  • Have a sound understanding of the broader Adventist education and church system;
  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in the field of human resources;
  • Have the capability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a broader team;
  • Hold a Working with Children Check (or is eligible to obtain one prior to commencement);
  • Be able to provide evidence of compliance with all Government directions regarding COVID-19 vaccinations.
