Senior Accountant

A full-time position, based in our Adelaide office, has become available for an enthusiastic, motivated, and knowledgeable finance professional to join the South Australian Conference finance team.

This senior position, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, is an exciting position being responsible for the day-to-day financial management, reporting and administration areas of Church and Schools ministries within the South Australian Conference.

The position involves guidance and supervision of a diverse and committed finance team across Church and School companies.  The successful applicant will enjoy a variety of tasks, assist the Chief Financial Officer to achieve current and future financial objectives, and be responsible for the creation, implementation and monitoring of all financial and administration policies and procedures. 

Application Requirements

The successful applicant will:

• Be a practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
• Hold Business/Management/Accounting academic qualifications (degree level) and be a member or be eligible to be a member, or a recognised Professional Accounting organisation (CA/CPA).
• Be able to demonstrate current experience in financial management and administration, preferably in not-for-profit or school sectors.
• Exhibit accuracy and attention to detail while adhering to timeframes.
• Demonstrate high level of computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Possess exceptional communication and relational skills essential for this position and be able to demonstrate a clear commitment to the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
