We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and self-motivated School Chaplain to join our College on a fixed-term contract until the end of 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Christian leader who thrives on building relationships, supporting wellbeing, and fostering spiritual growth across our school community.
About the Role
The School Chaplain plays a vital role in strengthening and nurturing the Adventist identity and ethos of the College. Working closely with school leaders, staff, students, Local church and families, the Chaplain provides pastoral care, coordinates spiritual programs, and supports the overall wellbeing of our school community.
This is a highly visible and relational role that requires a self-starter who can work independently, identify needs, and take initiative while collaborating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
- Plan, coordinate, and support weekly Chapel services across Primary and Secondary Schools.
- Organise guest speakers and spiritual programs, including Weeks of Spiritual Emphasis.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, staff, and families.
- Build meaningful relationships with students through regular engagement across the school.
- Visit classrooms and student groups to support teachers and strengthen student connections.
- Coordinate Bible studies and spiritual mentoring opportunities.
- Support student wellbeing initiatives in partnership with the Pastoral Care Team.
- Assist with school events, camps, excursions, worship programs, orientation activities, and community programs.
- Support student leadership development and School Captain initiatives.
- Develop and nurture positive relationships with staff, students, parents, and external community organisations.
- Attend Executive and College Management Committee meetings and provide regular reports.
- Coordinate worship and spiritual programs for students and staff.

- Highly organised with strong planning and communication skills.
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a diverse school environment.
- Flexible and willing to participate in school and community activities outside of regular classroom settings when required.

Contract: Fixed-Term, ending December 2026. There is potential for the appointment to be extended beyond this date, subject to the ongoing needs of the College and satisfactory performance.
