We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Maintenance Purchaser to join our team. The Maintenance Purchaser will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, purchasing materials and services, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to support our production processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of supply chain management.

You will be responsible for:

·      Procure goods and services with speed to order.

·      Monitor and report maintenance store parts inventory

·      Review and implement improved purchasing business practices.

·      Oversee the effectiveness of the Maintenance store, and provide support and direction to the Maintenance Store person.

·      SAP Spare Parts number creation and process of workflows and maintenance transactions.

·      Participating in supplier reviews with Corporate Procurement to address buying and inventory issues, as well as CAPEX purchases.

·      Data analysis and collation of data to present and influence informed procurement decisions, supporting company and departmental KPI’S.

·      Regular and ad hoc spend base reporting as required

·      Foster supplier relationships and be responsible for all suppliers assigned to this role

·      Maintain supplier records and ensure accuracy of supplier information

·      Communicate effectively with the maintenance and production teams

·      Investigate and resolve any queries related to supplier invoices

·      Support with the selection of suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance

·      Use existing suppliers where appropriate and recommend alternative suppliers where necessary

About you

·      Qualification in supply chain management desirable but not essential

·      Minimum 5 years purchasing/buying inventory management experience

·      Good understanding of SAP sourcing modules.

·      FMCG or similar industry experience highly desirable.

·      Competent in Microsoft office suite
