IT Project Manager SAP

The Role

The position is responsible for the implementation of a series of projects to upgrade and optimize the Sanitarium SAP environment. This will include version upgrades and the implementation of new and enhanced capabilities.

·        Ensure project results have an articulated scope with quantifiable business benefit.

·        Manage issues and risks arising within the project lifecycle.

·        Manage project spend and validate financial forecasts throughout the project                   lifecycle.

·        Represent the project at project governance and inter-department forums.

·        Align projects to project methodology compliance standards set by the framework.

·        Develop communication plans and interfaces to actively engage business partners.

·        Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria.

·        Communicate and report on project and program progress to key stakeholders.

·        Assess, prioritise and resolve/mitigate all project risks as they are encountered.

·        Define and create project plans for projects, portfolio, and product prioritization               and implementation.

·        Manage all aspects of the project life cycle, and work with team members to                       oversee all phases of project completion.

·        Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the project lifecycle.

·        Manage scope to ensure agreed time, cost, and quality parameters are met in line           with agreed business expectations.

·        Perform other tasks as directed by the IT Business Engagement Manager.

Skills & Experience

·        Tertiary qualification in information technology or relevant industry experience.

·        Strong project experience in ERP transformation.

·        Must have experience in delivering transformation projects from 1 platform to                   another ie. on-prem to cloud.

·        SAP S4/HANA experience is desirable but not essential. 

·        5+ years demonstrated experience in delivering technical projects to support                     business solutions.

·        Knowledge and expertise in the use of project management and SDLC                                 methodologies and tools (i.e. Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative).

·        Proficient with Project and Portfolio Management Tools. (Visio, MS Project, Project             Server etc).

·        Familiarity with PMI or PRINCE2 or equivalent, methodology.

·        Proven relationship building skills. 

·        Proven project resource management experience.

·        Excellent Communication skills – clear, concise and targeted. 

·        Excellent Writing and Documentation skills.

·        Critical Thinking and complex Problem-Solving skills.

·        Proven Stakeholder Management experience across a diverse range of teams.

·        Confident in reporting project updates to the steering committee and board.

The Recruitment Process
