    Great opportunity to join the Division’s People Services team in this newly established role supporting the General Manager of People Services.

    People Services promote and support good people management within the territory of the South Pacific Division (SPD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We offer services to the Division head office as well as the broader mission field in areas of human resource management; learning, professional and leadership development; work health and safety; expatriate employee service and support; promotion of Adventist employment and volunteer opportunities. A key aspect of this is remuneration and data analytics to support decision making.

    About the Role

    As the Remuneration Specialist you will support the GM People Services with specialist research, wage data analysis and reporting to help support the overall people management strategy. We are seeking a qualified and experienced accounting or business professional who is self-motivated and mission service minded to join us in this vital role. You will also provide general administrative support to the GM People Services and work collaboratively with the People Services team and other key financial stakeholders to provide effective remuneration and analytical solutions.

    The scope of this role includes, but is not limited to, management of small to medium sized remuneration projects, workforce insight analytics and reporting, financial modelling and budget analysis, market benchmarking, and support with preparing essential reports.

    Selection Criteria

    Essential

    • Practising baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a strong commitment to its mission and lifestyle; and be eligible to hold the appropriate Church licence.
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in business analysis or a related field.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
    • Advanced technical skills, particularly with data modelling and excel.
    • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
    • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Keen attention to detail.
    • History of leading and supporting successful projects.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and/or take directions.

    Preferred

    • Working knowledge of the Seventh-day Adventist Church structure and its management network and leadership functions throughout the South Pacific Division.
    • Ability to work autonomously and in multiple team environments working cross-collaboratively to meet deadlines.
    • Experience in job analysis, market benchmarking, job evaluation architecture and pay methodology.

    • Must show evidence of current unrestricted work rights in Australia.
