Ready to roll up your sleeves and make an impact? We’re on the lookout for a motivated and values-driven individual to join our Beverages Team at our Berkeley Vale Manufacturing Facility on the Central Coast, NSW.

 

This is not your ordinary Machine Operator role. The Beverages Department at Berkeley Vale are responsible for making some of Australia’s most beloved products, including Up&Go, So Good and Alternative Dairy Co.  As a permanent Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of key manufacturing or packing machinery. You’ll play a key role in creating high-quality products that change lives every day. Reporting to the Senior Team Leader on shift, we are seeking a permanent operator for our Day Shift Beverages Team who is eager to develop a deep expertise in our 1L machinery.  We are seeking a full-time employee who can work five days a week on the following day shift schedule:

 

Availability: Day Shift

Monday 7:00am -3:00pm

Tuesday  7:00am -3:00pm

Wednesday  7:00am -3:00pm

Thursday  7:00am -3:00pm

Friday 6:00am – 12:00pm

 

Although it is highly regarded, no prior beverages experience is required.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate activities with other Beverage’s areas for efficient and continuous operations.
  • Monitor the production/packing process to ensure smooth machine operation.
  • Move materials and restock resources. 
  • Record data as required and undertake product and quality testing.
  • Clean and maintain hygiene in your operating area.
  • Take part in continuous improvement activities.

 

The successful applicant will also have the following skills and experience:

  • Basic computer skills are essential.
  • Reading and writing skills are required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Ability to undertake manual handling of up to 25kg.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to cope with pressures and setbacks in a constructive manner.
  • Ability to analyse information and make decisions accordingly.
  • Strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.
