    Avondale University seeks expressions of interest for the position of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer with a focus on counselling. The position is part-time (approx. 9.5 hours per week), with a 3 year contract.

     

    About the role

    As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Counselling your duties will include:

    • Teaching into the Counselling specialisation in the Bachelor of Arts course.
    • Teaching into the Graduate Diploma of Counselling.
    • Assisting with course review and development.
    • Assisting with PACFA compliance.

     

    There is some flexibility in the configuration of days and hours, and the role will be based on our Lake Macquarie campus.

     

    The level of appointment will be determined on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.

     

    It is anticipated that the appointment will commence early 2023, for a 3-year contract.

     

    About you

    Interested candidates should possess a relevant Master’s degree at a minimum. Possession of a PhD will be viewed favourably. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate relevant industry experience and an ability to teach and engage with students in the learning and teaching arena.

    Salary:

    Lecturer Level B range: $98,127 - $115,503 per annum + superannuation.

    Senior Lecturer Level C range: $123,748 - $133,278 per annum + superannuation.
