Financial Systems Analyst - Adventist Technology

The Seventh-day Adventist Church (SPD) Limited is seeking a skilled and capable individual to join our dynamic Adventist Technology (AdTech) team on a 24-month full-time contract. This role will assist in finance related systems selection, analysis, design, implementation and support. Day to day priorities will be assigned under the supervision of the senior accounting systems analysts and will depend on focal projects at times.

This position will initially be based at the South Pacific Division head office in Wahroonga NSW, though hybrid work options may be considered.

Adventist Technology is the SPD’s internal managed service provider to many of the Seventh-day Adventist Church entities across the South Pacific. It hosts and supports multiple services ranging from core business functions (i.e. church administration, accounting, payroll) through to aged care (i.e. resident management) and education (i.e. learning management, student records). Adventist Technology also drives innovation and develops customised software to support the needs of clients whilst promoting a high cyber security resilience.

As the Financial Systems Analyst, you will report to the Senior Manager – Digital Transformation and assist with business analysis, technology and process modelling for the selection, solutions design, as well as systems implementation, administration and support across the various finance systems supported by AdTech.

Essential

• Must be a practising baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a strong commitment and belief in the teachings, values and mission of the Church.
• Be eligible to hold the appropriate church licence/credential.
• Professional and friendly written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Tertiary degree in accounting, information technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting financial systems analysis and accounting information systems or a related field.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
• Advanced technical skills, particularly with data modelling and Excel.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Team player that is fully supportive and team-oriented, able to lead, or take directions, and work in a group.
• Ability to work alone and achieve high outputs with minimal supervision.

Preferred

• Experience in Microsoft BI and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Accounting software experience as a system administrator.
• Accounting systems experience as an end user.
