Seventh-day Adventist Schools (NNSW) Limited is seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join Macquarie College’s Senior School. This full-time leave replacement position for Term 4, 2026 only, providing an opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a supportive Christian learning community.
Macquarie College (MC) is a Preschool to Year 12 independent school owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Located on the border of Wallsend and Elermore Vale in Newcastle, the College has a history of providing quality Christian education for over 120 years.

We are seeking a Mathematics Teacher who can make mathematical concepts accessible, engaging and relevant, including teaching Stage 6 Mathematics. You will plan and deliver learning aligned with NESA requirements, build students’ confidence in mathematics, and develop their reasoning and problem-solving skills.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Understanding of and commitment to the purpose and ethos of Adventist Education and the Church’s Statements of Belief.
- Relevant teaching qualifications, current NESA accreditation and sound knowledge of secondary Mathematics syllabuses, including Stage 6. Experience teaching Stage 6 Mathematics is desirable.
- Effective classroom teaching, curriculum planning, assessment and reporting practices aligned with NESA requirements.
- Ability to engage students in mathematics and differentiate teaching to support diverse learning needs.
- A student-focused approach that builds positive relationships and a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom.
- Strong communication skills and constructive partnerships with students, families and colleagues.
- Initiative, collaboration and commitment to professional learning, reflection and continuous improvement.
- Commitment to child safety, including children’s rights to respect, inclusion and empowerment.

Salary Range
Salary will be in accordance with the applicable Teachers Enterprise Agreement.
