The Tasmanian Conference is seeking to appoint a Caretaker for Pine Springs Campground, at Devonport. This is a terrific opportunity and would suit a retired person or someone seeking a volunteer or Part-time role. The campground is used for the annual camp conventions in January. The caretaker role is not only to maintain the grounds and buildings, but to assist the Conference to grow the short-term accommodation business at the grounds.
Onsite accommodation is available with electricity. Wages and allowances to be negotiated.
The successful applicant would need to the following skills and attributes.
- Some caretaking experience would be an advantage and would need to have ‘handyman’ skills.
- Excellent inter-personal skills, able to build relationships with the church and local community,
- Self-motivated and ability to work without supervision
- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
- Demonstrate a flexible and teachable approach in working with the Pine Springs Committee
- Basic computer skills
- Be a committed Seventh-Day Adventist
