Seventh-day Adventist Schools South Australia (Prescott Schools) is seeking a Project Officer (ICT System Manager and Compliance)
Location: Prescott Primary Northern and the South Australian Conference Office
The Project Offer will assist the Director of Education by ensuring that Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) planning, processes and procedures are compliant for the successful governance and management of the education and administrative operations of Prescott Schools within South Australia. The successful applicant will primarily work at Prescott Primary Northern and the South Australian Conference Office.
Essential Requirements:
- Be a practicing baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a strong commitment to its mission.
- Have a sound understanding of the broader Adventist Education system;
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience in the field;
- Ability to work cooperative and collaboratively as part of a broader team;
- Working with Children check (or are eligible to obtain one prior to commencement).
Core Competencies:
- The coordination of system-aligned processes and procedures that relate to selection, acquisition, development and/or installation of information systems and cloud-based platforms, making appropriate recommendations to the Administrative Committee (ADCOM) of the South Australian Conference.
- The relational skills to develop and build capacity in IT Managers by implementing and supporting local school processes and procedures that enable effective functioning of the Prescott Schools IT requirements.
- The ability to relate well and work in partnership with all members of the Prescott Schools Education Department team.
Key Professional Tasks:
- In consultation with the Director of Education, the ongoing strategic development and implementation of a system-approach to ICT within Prescott Schools, creating rigorous governance and compliance benchmarks that adhere to the relevant Federal and State legislation.
- To conduct formal and informal visits, meetings and workshops at all Prescott Schools (as required) in order to develop policies, processes and procedures in a collaborative manner with respectful, supportive and positive engagement that involves all levels of our system and all stakeholders (Principals, Deputies, IT Managers, Teachers and SSOs).
- To support Prescott Schools with a range of software packages such as SEQTA, Synergetic, CompliSpace and Consent-to-Go by:
- providing local system support, training and advice to staff on the impact of updated versions and releases;
- managing identification, implementation and the strategic roll-out of software platforms and modules;
- developing, testing and provisioning of reports for school leaders;
- developing, testing and provisioning of reports for governing committees (Adcom and Board of Directors);
- reviewing, analysing and improving our systems and processes to ensure that we maintain the confidentiality and security of private data in alignment with the Australian Privacy Principals;
- liaising with Adventist Schools Australia Technology Services team on behalf of Seventh-day Adventist Schools (South Australia) Limited.

Youth Department Assistant / Communications Coordinator
Are you excited about working with young people? Do you have a passion to serve the youth here in the South Australian Conference? Do you also have digital skills and the ability to communicate via print and media? If so, then the South Australian Conference wants you!
We are seeking applications for a full-time position for Youth Department Assistant / Communications Coordinator on a one-year full-time contract to start as soon as possible, with a potential for extension and permanency opportunities.
Your job is an intended cohesive dual role that sees you assisting the Youth Director in coordinating and attending the many events that the Youth Department runs, while at the same time also establishing and implementing communications strategies in conjunction with the Executive Officers (President, Secretary and CFO).

Youth Department Assistant (0.6 FTE)
- Be responsible for the coordination of youth-centered events and activities for the South Australian Conference, including all administrative support activities for youth events. These include, but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinating logistics for all youth events (venue hire, guest presenters, invoicing, registration, queries)
- Summer camps (summertime January commitment)
- Big Camp Youth Tent (April commitment)
- Planning of events and activities
- Setting up and taking down of tents
- Administrative tasks include risk assessments, reimbursement requests, credit card reconciliation and more
- Attending of meetings, note taking and meeting minutes preparation and dissemination
- Preparation / updating of Adventurer & Pathfinder Information Packs
- Assisting in the preparation of and updating the Youth Department Calendar and the Annual Youth Budget
- Managing the SA Youth mailbox (including responding and redirecting queries in a timely manner)
- Some weekend work is required (negotiated prior to events)
Communications Coordinator (0.4 FTE)
- Creating, promoting and communicating the resources, initiatives, news and events produced by the various departments of the South Australian Conference to all stakeholders, including but not limited to Local Churches, Pastors, Staff and external entities such as other Conferences and the AUC via appropriate media (digital and print). Tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
- Establishing and implementing a communications strategy in conjunction with the Executive Officers (President, Secretary and CFO)
- Coordinating and compiling news, events and articles to produce the weekly Conference Newsletter (digital) and the quarterly Grapevine (printed)
- Updating the Conference website and relevant social media platforms
- Liaising with various ministries, including Living Ministry Media and the South Australian Conference Digital Media Strategy Project Officer to ensure strategic collaboration of the respective ministries
- Create content, including graphics design and digital media.

Resource Centre Manager / Receptionist
The South Australian Conference is looking for friendly, passionate and enthusiastic individuals who will serve as a full-time Resource Centre Manager and Receptionist for our South Australian Conference Office.
The Resource Centre has a critical missional purpose by providing book and other resources to church members and the public. This full-time role will wholistically care for the Resource Centre, managing both day-to-day operations and providing exceptional Customer Service. As the Resource Centre is the first point of contact in the Conference Office, Reception duties are involved, therefore both administration and accounts experience is best suited to the position.
This 1-year contract is to start as soon as possible, with the potential for extension and permanency opportunities available.
The successful applicant will:
- Be a practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Have administration and accounts experience (preferred)
- Be computer literate and able to learn software systems quickly

Resource Centre
Manage the Resource Centre by undertaking the following tasks (including but not limited to):
- Assist visitors to the resource centre by providing advice on bible study guides and other reference material, processing book orders including special orders, and providing updates on order status/arrival
- Manage stock levels in line with supply and demand requirements
- Assist church representatives with resource orders, including maintaining invoice records
- Coordinate Sabbath School orders and distribute materials for all churches
- Coordinate resource material orders for schools
- Maintain debtors records for resource sales
- Coordinate resource material for the annual Big Camp convention, including liaising with suppliers, providing a sales stall and processing returns
- Assist with the administrative tasks associated with the raising of money for the ADRA Appeal once per year, including maintaining records of individual church fundraising activities
Receptionist
Provide reception and customer service support including undertaking the following tasks:
- Answer all incoming phone calls unless unable to due to being occupied on a phone call or with a visiting customer/stakeholder, or on a designated break
- Greet visitors to reception, demonstrating friendly and engaging interpersonal skills and assisting with payments, enquiries, tithes and offerings etc
