About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Casual Site Hygienist to join our team on a flexible, on-call basis. This important role is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of our site amenities, including lunchrooms, meeting rooms, administration areas, and general common spaces. Maintaining a high standard of hygiene is essential to providing a safe and comfortable environment for all staff and visitors.

As a casual team member, you will be stepping in to support our hygiene team as needed. This means availability is key — you may be called upon to work any day between Sunday and Friday. Shifts will be within either Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) or Afternoon Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM), with the potential for 4-hour shifts depending on the site’s requirements.

This role is perfect for someone who values flexibility, takes pride in maintaining high hygiene standards, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in cleaning or hygiene services is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to Site WHS policies. Escalate hazards, accidents and near misses to Team Leader in a timely manner.
  • Identity, control and report on food safety and allergen hazards. Adhere to specific department conditions of entry and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Ensure effective cleaning, sanitising and housekeeping of amenities, lunchrooms, canteen dining area, ancillary areas and meeting rooms to a high standard.
  • Maintain stock levels of required chemicals and cleaning equipment and store appropriately.
  • Safe preparation of cleaning chemicals and operation of cleaning equipment. Eg. Floor scrubber
  • Adequate completion of hygiene records and tasks in accordance to the pre-determined cleaning schedule.
  • Relief of team members as required.
