Role Description 

Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Greater Sydney) Ltd is seeking a creative, dynamic, and experienced educator to be the Stage 4 Language and Science Teacher at Macarthur Adventist College. Commencing in Term 1, 2025 and with opportunities for ongoing employment, experienced teachers and early career teachers are both encouraged to apply. This position will include teaching any 100-hour NESA approved course in the Modern Languages K-10 Syllabus and stage 4 & 5 Science.

Application Requirements 

The successful applicant will hold a formal teaching qualification (degree level), a current Working with Children Check in NSW and be currently registered with NESA to teach in NSW – or be eligible to register with NESA. It is preferable that the successful applicant be a baptised and practising member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, or a practising Christian sympathetic to the unique Seventh-day Adventist identity of the school. 

The successful applicant will also 

  • have experience teaching Language and Science in Years 7-10
  • be supportive of the Christian ethos and mission of the school
  • demonstrate capacity to collaboratively design and deliver engaging, differentiated student-centred learning
  • possess strong communication skills
  • demonstrate capacity to meet the professional expectations of the teaching profession as expressed by AITSL and NESA
