Role Description
Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Greater Sydney) Limited is currently seeking a qualified Business Manager to oversee operations at our institutions: Hurstville Adventist School and Sydney Adventist School Auburn. This is a part-time position, offering 0.8 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) hours, equivalent to four days per week. As a staff member, you will contribute to maintaining a child safe environment by observing all child safe policies and procedures. The work of the Business Manager is essential to the operation of the schools. The Business Manager is a member of the Executive team responsible for leadership and management and holds the most senior non-teaching position at the schools. The staff member will take particular responsibility for the financial management, property management and administrative functions of the schools in an efficient, effective and sustainable manner.

- Undertake other tasks commensurate with training and experience as requested by the Principals
- Co-ordinate and manage the marketing function of the schools in consultation with the Principals and Communications officer
Essential Criteria
- Commitment to the mission, values and beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- A Working With Children Check clearance.
- Commitment to the College Staff Code of Conduct.
- A degree in business, management or accounting/finance.
- Ability to lead a team of people to deliver quality services to the College.
- Organisational proficiency and strong attention to detail.
- A strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Flexibility and adaptability in the face of competing demands and time constraints.
- Professional personal presentation.
Desirable Criteria
- Hold or be working towards a CPA/CA qualification.
- Previous experience using the Synergetic or TechnologyOne software system.
Staff Work Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace.

- Co-operate with the school management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations.
- Take reasonable care to ensure their own safety and health and that of others, and to abide by their duty of care provided for in the legislation.
- To report any injury, hazard or illness immediately, where practicable, to their supervisor.
- Not place others at risk by any act or omission.
- Not wilfully or recklessly interfere with safety equipment.
