The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Australia has a unique opportunity for a passionate educator of health ministry to join the Mamarapha Team.
About Mamarapha: Mamarapha College is an Adventist, First Nations VET College that runs courses in Ministry, Pastoral and Health Promotions to train faith leaders of tomorrow. It was established for Indigenous people of Australia to find a closer walk with God, to study His Word and to learn how to reach out to others with wisdom and in the power of His Spirit. The college is located in the beautiful hills suburb of Karagullen, near Perth, and is undergoing some exciting building development.
*Relocation costs to Western Australia, where applicable, will be met in harmony with Church Policy.
About the role: We invite expressions of interest from persons with qualifications in a Health-related course, with preference to having experience in VET teaching and assessment, if necessary VET training will be provided. The successful candidate will be passionate about First Nation Peoples’ education and health ministry as this role has the capacity to positively impact Indigenous health in Australia through building partnerships with Sanitarium, ADRA and Avondale University.
About you: Important requirements for this role are to have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills that are representative of a faith-based role, with appropriate sensitivity to Aboriginal cultures; and delivering high quality teaching and learning opportunities demonstrated by strong organisational and curriculum development skills, balanced with a compassion. Being a baptised, practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is essential. As the new Health Course Coordinator, you would complete a small, yet dynamic and friendly team that is mission-focused and ready to serve this student community of diverse Indigenous cultures.
