Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance – Pacific Adventist University

Pacific Adventist University are seeking applicants for a Senior Accounting and Finance Lecturer position based in Port Moresby, PNG.

Lecturers are responsible to the Dean of School of Business to provide innovative, motivating and challenging teaching based on sound scholarly activity which maximises learning and research and reflects a commitment to the philosophy, mission, objectives and values of the School and the University.   Applicants who are active Seventh-day Adventists, mission oriented, professional and hard-working are encouraged to apply.

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

The Senior Lecturer in Accounting & Finance is:

• required to teach accounting and finance subjects both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels,
• required to supervise honours and/or postgraduate research projects.
• required to carry significant administrative responsibilities, including subject and course development and coordination.
• expected to take a significant role in scholarship, research and/or professional activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A doctoral qualification in accounting and finance; or equivalent accreditation and standing.
• A record of significant achievement relevant to the discipline area, and at a national level, in the scholarship of teaching and/or research/creative works or professional activity.
• A record of autonomous teaching at a high standard is essential.
