Assistant Management Accountant – Logistics

    ·        Permanent full time role with half day Fridays.

    ·        Based in Berkeley Vale on the Central Coast of NSW.

    The Role

    This role will assist the management accounting function of the business in providing the financial support required for managers to make informed business decisions and to effectively manage their area of responsibility.

    Key responsibilities

    ·        Preparation of regular financial performance monitoring and variance reporting related to Delivery and Warehousing for AU & NZ.

    ·        Calculating and maintaining freight charge accuracy vs rate cards.

    ·        Assisting with preparation of business cases and logistic costs impacts.

    ·        Supporting changes to the ERP system.

    ·        Logistics invoice processing for domestic and export carriers.

    ·        Provide training on invoice processing for annual intern.

    ·        Assisting with preparation of annual financial forecasts and projections for AU & NZ Logistics.

    ·        Assisting with annual budget preparation to agreed timelines for AU & NZ Logistics.

    ·        Working collaboratively across departments to prepare and assist in reviewing proposals to support management in achieving their objectives.

    ·        Involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.

    Skills & Experience

    ·        Tertiary qualification in business/commerce with a major in accounting.

    ·        Completing or desire to complete CPA, CA or equivalent qualification.

    ·        1+ year(s) practical experience in a similar role.

    ·        Advanced Excel skills.

    ·        Strong customer focus and team orientation.

    ·        Excellent organisation and time management skills.

    ·        Good attention to detail.

    ·        Experience in an FMCG environment would be advantageous but not essential.

    The Recruitment Process
