System and Network Project Engineer

The Role:

This is a 2-year contract role, responsible for implementation of projects delivering infrastructure, applications and services while ensuring the high levels of availability, performance and security.

You will: 

  • Work closely with the Architecture team to contribute to the system documentation and design process.
  • Liaise with internal, project and external resources to deliver high quality IT solutions and services to the broader Sanitarium Group.
  • Be responsible for the technical implementation of solutions.
  • Deliver of ‘as built’ documentation.
  • Supervise any installation subcontractors.
  • Governance – Ensure project changes follow change management processes and procedures, capturing scope changes and identification of risks and issues.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the Architecture & Information Security Manager.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field – Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years system and/or network administration experience.
  • Strong technical skills (hands on) with working knowledge of Servers, Network, Storage,
  • Cloud and Virtualisation technologies. 
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing new infrastructure solutions.
  • Industry certifications including Cisco, Microsoft or similar is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of virtualization technology – VMWare vSphere and vSAN.
  • Experience with Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and Active Directory.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server in high availability configurations.
  • Excellent communication, writing and documentation skills.
