About The Role:
Our Moorooka site manufactures Weet-Bix bites, Weet-Bix flavours and single serve Weet-Bix packs – operating five days a week, 24 hours a day.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrical Maintenance Technician will provide technical support to the site on breakdowns and projects.
Key to your success is your strong problem-solving skills and experience with systems, PLC programming, industrial networking, vision systems as well as robotic programming.
Responsibilities:
- Improve workforce productivity by eliminating potential delays by providing technical support and fault finding of electrical and automation issues.
- Supervise electrical work, installation and contractors
- Carry our scheduled maintenance
- Active participation in Continuous Improvement and ad-hoc projects
- Coach production team members to better understand machine principles and their impacts
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Actively contribute and demonstrate commitment to maintaining a culture that is aligned with company values
About you:
- An electrical licensed with similar experience in a food manufacturing environment – preferred
- PLC fault finding & knowledge of PLCs and network communication.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and P&ID’s
- Ability to write PLC Code and HMI Modification
- Strong analytical & problem-solving
- Having Confined Space, Working at Heights and Fork Lift Licence’s are an advantage
