Sanitarium Health Food Company is currently experiencing unprecedented growth in our Beverages Department. We are looking to identify and develop the future leaders of our business. We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a Full-Time Team Leader to kick start their career in the manufacturing space!
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Team Leader on Night Shift, the purpose of this role is to support production in the Beverages Department of our manufacturing facility at Berkeley Vale, 2261. The role will operate Sunday – Thursday night, 11:00pm-7:00am. There may also be an opportunity to do overtime late Saturday night.
This hands-on position will provide proactive and collaborative leadership to the Night Shift Team and is a great entry-level leadership role. The Team Leader will support the Senior Team Leader to drive our Beverages Night Shift Team towards the successful achievement of department targets.
Other core responsibilities of the role include:
Optimise production capability and efficiency.
Ensure department compliance with WHS, food safety and quality standards.
Manage workflows and staffing needs on the shift.
Performance manage staff in a constructive manner.
Fault-find and troubleshoot line operation issues and escalate when needed.
Drive culture and engagement initiatives which align with Sanitarium’s values.
About You!
As this is an entry-level role, applicants do not require any manufacturing experience, but rather will have an eagerness to start their career in the food manufacturing space. We are looking for a leader who is committed to staying with our business long-term.
The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal.
Ability to motivate a team to achieve excellent results.
Ability to adapt to change and cope with pressures or setbacks.
Flexibility to work weekend hours as required.
Eagerness to further develop own leadership skills through training and development.
Other desirable criteria include:
A qualification in frontline leadership.
Experience leading frontline teams.
