Condensed work week: 4-day work / 3-day weekend
Permanent full-time position
The Role

This position is responsible for ensuring product safety and quality by providing quality assurance, manufacturing and technical support. Key accountabilities include:

Deliver on site-wide quality system objectives including HACCP, Food Defence and BRC certification.
Develop and maintain accurate quality systems and related documentation for product, materials and processes.
Provide day to day quality assurance support to the Beverages Manufacturing department.
Ensure compliance with food safety legislation standards.
Day to day operational quality assurance support to the Beverages team.
Ensure compliance to the application of Internal Supply Chain Standards.
Conduct audits internal and external to department.
Apply scientific principles to deviations from existing processes, procedures or products.
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 10am – 8pm (4 day work / 3 day weekend)
Skills & Experience

Tertiary education in food science, chemistry, or related discipline.
3 to 5 years industry experience as a food technologist.
Strong knowledge of food safety systems and standards (HACCP and BRC).
Must have experience writing HACCP plans.
Must have experience conducting audits.
Must have a broad understanding of Quality Management principles and practices.
High level of self-initiative and works in a systematic, methodical way.
Ability to analyse complex scientific information and apply that information in subsequent reports.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to prioritise in a dynamic working environment.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
