Seventh-day Adventist Schools (NNSW) Limited is seeking an innovative, experienced Principal for Manning Adventist Bush School (MABS). Our school is passionate about providing unique learning opportunities for young people.
Manning Adventist Bush School (MABS) is set in the beautiful Manning Valley located on the mid-north coast of NSW, 15 minutes to beaches and close proximity to the Barrington Tops National Park. We follow a Bush School (Forest School) philosophy of long-term, regular outdoor sessions on our 14-hectare bush site.
The successful applicant will:
- model and nurture an active relationship with Jesus and have a knowledge of and a commitment to supporting the ethos and mission of Manning Adventist Bush School.
- An understanding and commitment to the purpose and ethos of Adventist Education and the Church as described by Adventist Schools Australia and our statements of belief Statements of Belief
- Hold a current education degree in the relevant teaching areas
- Strong Educational Leadership skills;
- High levels of organisational and staff management skills
- Have knowledge and show mastery of the relevant NESA syllabus content
- Show a growth mindset and a willingness to demonstrate innovative methodologies as part of the teaching practices
- have a student-focused outlook, with the ability to creatively engage students
- possess excellent people skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with all school stakeholders, and work as part of a cohesive team
- Show positive communication and build robust, interpersonal skills with young people, staff, parents/carers, and the broader community
- Ability to build strong robust relationships with young people, staff members, and families
- Be a reflective, flexible educator with life-long learning practice
- Committed to child safety by providing a safe culture, safe operations and a safe environment. Only applicants with a Working With Children Check (WWCC) will be considered for this role.

Salary Range
