Bible Worker (Juniors & Teens)

Position Summary

To connect with church and community teen and junior aged contacts and plan and implement appropriate ministry events. To support the church in its vision and discipleship of teens and juniors.

Duties and Responsibilities

·       Actively seek and connect with teens and juniors

·       Plan a range of events that include spiritual, social and outreach activities

·       Discipleship

·       Participate in Sabbath services including Sabbath School, preaching…etc

·       Plan and conduct age-appropriate Bible studies

·       Prepare contacts for baptism

·       Willing to work in an environment that is a mix of contemporary and traditional Adventist culture

·       A team player. Able to work with the Pastoral Team, Ministry leaders and parents of contacts

·       Attend meetings as required, including meetings with Pastoral Team and other Ministry leaders

·       Act as an advocate on behalf of Teens and Juniors

Eligibility Requirements

·       A commitment to the teachings, beliefs and values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

·       Have the legal right to work in Australia and live locally

·       Meet Adsafe requirements including WWCC and national Police Check

·       Hold a current driver’s licence

·       Willing to lead by example and serve

·       Have a teachable nature

·       Able to present and communicate effectively

Employment Period

To be hired on a 12-month contract, 15 hours per week
