Seventh-day Adventist Schools (NNSW) Limited is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time  Marketing & Communications Officer to join our team at Macquarie College. This position will have period of stand-down over the non-term breaks.

Macquarie College (MC) is a Preschool to Year 12 independent School, owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The school campus is located on the boarder of Wallsend and Elermore Vale, in the Newcastle area. With a history of providing quality Christian education for over 120 years, Macquarie College’s mission is grounded in Seventh-day Adventist Church’s mission and continues to see the College strive to provide opportunities for students to know Christ, develop their full potential and cultivate a love of learning.

 

Application Requirements  

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • An understanding and commitment to the purpose and ethos of Adventist Education and the Church as described by Adventist Schools Australia and our statements of belief Statements of Belief
  • Strong attention to detail and highly accurate data entry
  • Ability to follow procedures and processes
  • Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Coordinate the school magazine (Coorinda) through to publication
  • Support School enrolments using website maintenance, social media and advertising. 
  • Capture still/video footage of school events with basic editing
  • Shared management of the schools photo storage application (Pixevety)
  • Graphic design creation for marketing initiatives and approved school activities e.g. Certificates, Sitemaps.
  • Video content creation/coordination for marketing initiatives and approved school activities e.g. Screens around school such as Foyer, Canteen, etc.
  • School branded merchandise, school signage - in line with the strategic direction and brand of the school
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence and customer service skills
  • Strong ethical framework around all work practices, especially in the areas of discretion and confidentiality
  • Time management skills and the ability to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Solution focused problem-solving ability
