Early Childhood Educator Part-Time

Macquarie College Preschool is excited to announce that we are seeking a passionate, creative and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our experienced team.

Our preschool is located on the Macquarie College campus and is an integrated part of the school.

Criteria – Essential:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as an Early Childhood Educator within an early childhood service
• An approved Diploma in Children’s Services or Certificate 3 qualification in Children’s Services as identified by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority
• Current Working with Children Check
• Child protection qualification
• Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
• Ability to build relationships with children, families and staff
• Experience programming for children
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• A commitment to our service philosophy

 

A Demonstrated understanding of:

• National Quality Framework (NQF)
• National Regulations
• Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting
• Workplace Health and Safety issues and practices

 

Expectations:

• You will be required to work a range of shifts (8hrs).
• Regular attendance at out of hours monthly staff meetings is compulsory.
• Attendance at some of our out of hours events that support our campus and our community.
• Our service is open from 7.30am – 5.30pm for 48 weeks of the year, excluding public holidays.
• This is a part-time position working three days a week.
