We are a leading Residential Aged Care Facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our team on a permanent part time basis.

As a Cook/Kitchen Hand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our residents by preparing and serving delicious, nutritious meals in a clean and organized kitchen environment. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our elderly residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary requirements and preferences of residents.
• Assist with meal planning, including special dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, following food safety standards.
• Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleaning tasks.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents and staff.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Compassionate and patient demeanour.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
• A genuine interest in the well-being of the elderly.
• Certificate III in commercial cookery.
