About the Role

Are you organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting technology initiatives in a faith-based environment? The South Pacific Division (SPD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is seeking a motivated Administrative Assistant to join our Adventist Technology (AdTec) team in Wahroonga, NSW. This part-time role (24 hours per week) offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to mission-focused projects and work alongside a supportive, faith-driven team.

SPD serves as the administrative hub for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific. AdTec provides technology services to church entities, supporting ministries across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. As the Administrative Assistant you will:

  • Provide administrative support including scheduling, document processing, meeting coordination
  • Handle non-technical inquiries
  • Assist with event and project logistics
  • Contribute to internal communications and reporting
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold customer service standards

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Practising, baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, with a strong commitment to its mission.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative support role, ideally in a technology-focused environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in office administration or secretarial work.
  • High initiative and self-motivation with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a basic understanding of IT systems.
  • A customer-focused, proactive, and service-oriented approach.

 Preferred

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Experience preparing reports and presentations.
  • Knowledge of the Seventh-day Adventist Church structure in the South Pacific Division.
  • Cross-cultural communication experience.
