Role Description

Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Greater Sydney) Ltd is seeking a fulltime ICT Systems Administrator. You will work to provide maintain and support existing systems, participate in projects deploying new and upgraded ICT systems, and provide end-user support to staff and students in the six Adventist schools in Sydney.

Location

Based at the company head office in Wahroonga NSW, this role will also include work at school sites located across the Sydney metropolitan area.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 2+ years of experience in the role of ICT Systems Administrator, Level 2 ICT support, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems.
    • IP-based network infrastructure.
    • Deployment/maintenance/repair of end-user computing devices, servers and network hardware.
    • Microsoft 365 application suite.
    • Core information security and risk management principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to work collaboratively with a team and engage with multiple stakeholders of varying professional backgrounds and technical abilities.
  • The ability to work independently, with a willingness and capacity to take initiative and to effectively manage competing priorities.
  • The ability to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, Code of Ethics and Conduct of Sydney Adventist Schools.
  • A valid NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check.

And who may also have:

  • Experience training and mentoring junior ICT staff.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • ICT project and/or operations management qualifications (e.g. ITIL v3, PRINCE2, etc) and/or experience.
  • ICT industry certifications relevant to technologies used by Greater Sydney Adventist Schools (Microsoft 365 Suite, VMware vSphere, FortiNet network infrastructure, JAMF Pro, etc).
  • Information security qualifications and/or experience.
  • Experiencing configuring, managing and maintaining Windows, macOS and iOS end-user devices using MDM and other automation tools.
  • Experience configuring, managing and maintaining IP-based phone systems.
  • Experience with configuring, managing and maintaining building security systems (electronic access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV systems).
  • Active Christian beliefs and values.

Remuneration will depend on experience and qualifications. You will be part of a team that supports ICT across our network of Adventist schools in Greater Sydney, which will provide an opportunity for support, networking and ongoing professional development.
