    The role

    As we support the continued increase in demand for our products across key international markets, we have an exciting opportunity within our Logistics team. As the Export Logistics Lead at Sanitarium, you will be responsible for:

    • Overseeing the international logistics operational processes and activities that are required to support our growth agenda in international markets
    • Ensuring our international customer base receive the very best service possible whilst also delivering Sanitarium a best-in-class international freight cost model
    • Collaborating with internal departments to continually improve our export logistics service delivery and support our revenue and profit objectives
    • Building and managing relationships with transport service providers, freight forwarders and our New Zealand logistics team to support efficient stock flow from Australia and New Zealand
    • Developing and enhancing partnerships with nominated external logistics providers, including regular monitoring of performance against key performance metrics
    • Regular negotiation of freight and handling costs associated with export services with external service providers
    • Continually reviewing international logistics costs, developing, and implementing optimisation strategies that deliver exceptional service to our customers whilst minimising costs and improving profitability
    • Identifying initiatives and leading cross-functional projects related to the export logistics function that deliver optimal results for the business

    Skills & Experience

    The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

    • Minimum 5 years experience in international logistics – shipping or freight forwarding
    • Proven ability to build and maintain ethical relationships with internal and external parties
    • Solid commercial & business acumen, with excellent understanding of supply chain cost drivers
    • Exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
    • Sound influencing, negotiation and problem-solving skills
    • High level of self-motivation and dedication
    • The ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining attention to detail
    • Organised and able to work well independently
    • Highly motivated and a team player
    • Tertiary qualifications in Business, International Business, Logistics or similar preferred but not essential
