Avondale School is a Preschool to Year 12 independent school owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Located on an expansive rural campus in Cooranbong, NSW, the School has provided quality Christian education for over 125 years.

Grounded in its Adventist mission, Avondale School provides opportunities for students to know Christ, develop their full potential and cultivate a love of learning.

We are seeking an Enrolments & Community Engagement Manager for a permanent, full-time position of 38 hours per week, commencing January, 2027. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will lead the School’s enrolment, student recruitment and community engagement functions. You will guide and develop a team, oversee the complete enrolment journey and ensure prospective and current families receive a welcoming, professional and supportive experience.

You will develop strategies for sustainable enrolment growth, monitor targets and trends, oversee accurate reporting and coordinate marketing, recruitment and community events. Building relationships with families, preschools and community organisations will be central to your work.

This role offers an opportunity to combine people leadership, strategic planning and community connection while contributing to the future of Adventist education.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Commitment to Christian values, Adventist Education and the Church’s Statements of Belief.
  • Proven experience leading, supervising and developing a team.
  • Strong strategic planning, organisational and project management skills.
  • Understanding of the education sector, enrolment processes and family decision-making.
  • Ability to analyse data, prepare accurate reports and guide recruitment strategies.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and customer service skills.
  • Discretion, initiative and commitment to confidentiality.
  • We are a child-safe organisation committed to protecting children's rights to safety, respect, inclusion, and empowerment. All applicants must hold a valid Working with Children Check and be willing to complete mandatory safeguarding training before working with children.
  • Legally able to work in Australia. This position is not linked to a sponsorship visa. Applicants who can not show they are legally able to work in Australia will not be considered

The successful applicant will be provided with access to the NNSW School Policies portal, which sets out the expectations and requirements for employment within the school’s system. Child protection legislation requires preferred applicants to be subject to employment screening. Avondale School supports the principles of equal opportunity employment and encourages diversity in the workplace. Only those with a legal right to work in Australia may apply, and the appointing body reserves the right to fill this position at its discretion and to close applications early.
