Technology Teacher

Technology Teacher. Permanent Part-Time. 

Tagged (Special character position). We are looking for a part-time (0.7 FTTE) teacher of Technology focusing on wood for Years 7-13 to join our high school team. The successful candidate will be passionate about Christian education, an inspiring, enthusiastic, collaborative, student-focused teacher with an awareness of the current educational practice, who enjoys mentoring and developing young people and can connect with students of varied abilities and cultures. Our Hard Materials technology workshop is well-resourced, and we are looking to grow this area of the school. While this position is advertised as 0.7 FTTE, there is potential to increase this either immediately through other subjects that the successful applicant could teach or in the future through growth in this department. 

Applicants must be NZ registered and fully conversant with the NZ Curriculum.

This position, as advertised, requires the successful applicant to be willing and able to take part in religious instruction and demonstrate capabilities to maintain programmes and activities that appropriately reflect the school’s Seventh-day Adventist special character shall be conditions of employment. The start date for the position is the beginning of term 1, 2024.
