    Role Description

    Mountain View Adventist College is seeking an experienced and reliable Canteen Supervisor to join our team at Mountain View Adventist College. This position is full-time, commencing on Monday 20 January 2025.

    Application Requirements

    The work of the Canteen Supervisor is essential to the operation of the College. The appointee will work closely with the Canteen Assistants providing a vegetarian, healthy and high-quality food offering that is prepared and cooked fresh for staff, students and visitors. Compliance with relevant WH&S and other applicable regulations and standards is assumed.

    • Day to day tasks will include but are not limited to:
    • Preparing & cooking food items for sale
    • Developing and reviewing menu
    • Management of the online menu and ordering system
    • Manage the stock and ordering supplies to maintain proper stock levels
    • Managing the cleaning responsibilities
    • Manage the catering requirements as required
    • Providing excellent customer service to students, staff and the school community

    The successful applicant be a baptised and practising member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, or a practising Christian sympathetic to the unique Seventh-day Adventist identity of the school.

    Selection Criteria

    You will:

    • Support and uphold the values of a Christian organisation
    • Ideally have previous experience in a similar role
    • Have a passion for preparing and cooking good tasting high quality food
    • Be enthusiastic about the work that you do
    • Have high standards of work
    • Be punctual and reliable
    • Be able to work unsupervised, use your initiative and be proactive in all that you do
    • Challenge the status quo
    • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation
    • Ideally must be a qualified chef – Certificate III in commercial cookery
    • Must have or be willing to obtain a Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) valid for employment
    • Hold a current Drivers Licence and have your own car
    • Be eligible to work unrestricted in Australia
