Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Greater Sydney) Limited is seeking a dedicated and passionate school Bus Driver to join our team at Hurstville Adventist School. This is a permanent part-time position.

Application Requirements

The successful applicant will hold or be willing to obtain a current Working with Children Check in NSW.  It is preferable that the successful applicant be a baptised and practising member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, or a practising Christian sympathetic to the unique Seventh-day Adventist identity of the school.

The applicant will work closely with the Bus Supervisor, Bus Coordinator, and Business Manager to safely transport students to and from the school, sporting events, excursions, and other functions. Compliance with WHS, road rules, and other regulations is required.

Working Hours:

• Two period split shift – morning 2 hours and afternoon 2 hours, or
• One session to job share
• Additional hours for sports, excursions, etc.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of students and passengers
• Adhere strictly to road rules, especially regarding speed, seatbelt and phone use
• Drive courteously and responsibly
• Maintain professionalism in conduct, dress, and language
• Complete safety checks and maintenance tasks
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
• Perform other tasks as requested by the Principal or Business Manager

 About You:

• Support and uphold Christian values
• Hold a current LR driver’s license (MR license advantageous)
• Have a good driving record and previous experience in a similar role
• Be enthusiastic, punctual, reliable, and committed to high standards
• Adhere to the School Staff Code of Conduct
• Work unsupervised, use initiative, and be proactive
• Be willing to help and go the extra mile
