Macquarie College (MC) is seeking a passionate Bible teacher who has the disposition and skills to contribute to the achievement of our strategic intent to co-evolve a new exemplar of future-focused schooling towards the transformation of global education. The position is Full-Time commencing 2025 on an initial 2 year contract for Stage 4-6 in our Senior School.

  • An understanding and commitment to the purpose and ethos of Adventist Education as described by Adventist Schools Australia
  • Intellectually and emotionally intelligent with a demonstrated love of the teaching profession.
  • Relevant qualifications and current teaching registration with NESA
  • Guided by a strong ethical framework, morally courageous and judicious in decision-making.
  • Driven to achieve the best outcomes for the student, parents, staff and the broader MC community within the framework of MC’s Strategic Intent.
  • A demonstrated capacity to meet the professional expectations of the teaching profession as expressed by AITSL and NESA.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to make learning come to life for students through the delivery of student-centred differentiated learning programs.
  • A strategic researcher and creative and critical thinker with a demonstrated capacity to collaboratively contribute to the ongoing adaptive build-out of a best-practice, future-focused K-12 learning program.
  • The capacity to infuse design thinking into their classroom, together with the ability to work collaboratively with the school’s dedicated Design Lab teachers to ensure each student is receiving learning which aligns to the Global Competencies.
  • Committed to child safety by providing a safe culture, safe operations and a safe environment. Only applicants with a Working With Children Check (WWCC) will be considered for this role
  • Legally able to work in Australia.

  1. A supporting statement addressing the key selection criteria and your commitment to maintaining a child safe environment by observing all child safe policies and procedures. This should be no longer than 2 pages
  2. A CV showing qualifications and experience and the contact details of three referees
  3. Your WWCC and NESA number
  4. A 2-minute introductory video describing your personal qualities and motivations as an educator as an opportunity to introduce yourself outside of your CV. This can be uploaded to a platform such as YouTube and a link should be provided in the introduction of your supporting statement with permission to view given to [email protected].
