Academic Support Tutor – Expression of Interest

Avondale University is seeking expressions of interest for Academic Support Tutors to facilitate the development of academic literacies for students at the University.  These casual positions review student assessment work on demand prior to submission by the student and provide constructive feedback on expression, grammar, essay structure, and referencing/academic integrity concerns, but not assignment content.

Criteria:

• Masters degree or Bachelor degree with good literacy skills
• Familiar with APA referencing primarily
• Capacity to review academic writing by students and provide constructive feedback
• Available for casual appointment during teaching periods
• Available for some onsite student sessions at either Sydney Campus (Wahroonga) or Lake Macquarie Campus (Cooranbong)
• A teaching qualification is seen as desirable
