Adventist Senior Living is looking for a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The role works closely with the General Manager Lifestyle Communities, senior managers and residents to manage the prioritisation, resourcing and completion of a range of grounds-keeping, maintenance and renovation works. The role is required to be part of an on-call roster.

Key areas that the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  1. Trade qualifications in a building services trade or equivalent relevant experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in ensuring WHS compliance in a building and maintenance environment
  3. Demonstrated experience in leading a maintenance team (including contractors) and delivering maintenance, building and renovation.
  4. Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) and maintenance computer systems to manage job allocations and priorities.
  5. Willingness to work on an ‘on-call’ roster.
  6. Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
    First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
    Current driver’s license.
    Demonstrated experience in contributing to a positive workplace culture.
  7. Demonstrated skills and experience in the following behavioural competencies:

  • Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
  • Working with people


Adventist Senior Living is a ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (Northern NSW conference) seeking to enhance the physical, spiritual, social and emotional wellbeing of older Australians through Christ centred care. ASL owns and operates aged care facilities, retirement villages and a growing home care business in the Lake Macquarie and Ballina regions.

The Lifestyle Communities Division has oversight of Corporate Sales and Marketing, three lifestyle communities in the Lake Macquarie region, new development projects and Maintenance Services on these sites.

The Maintenance Team consists of dedicated workers that provide maintenance and renovation services to the residential care facilities and village. Using a combination of in-house and contracted resources, services include planned maintenance and grounds-keeping, repairs and service call-outs to residents and ongoing renovations of villas during vacancies to ensure accommodation is well-maintained and periodically refreshed.
