Accountant

The Tasmanian Conference, with our office located in Hobart, is seeking a full time Accountant to join our dynamic and supportive team.

2. Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Tasmania) Ltd
3. Tasmanian Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

The successful applicant will enjoy, being a part of dynamic and supportive office team as well as generous benefits.

Key responsibilities include,

• Support the CFO
• Preparation and an analysis of Financial reports
• Assist with forecasting, cash flow management, data analysis
• Budget preparation
• Assist with the daily and monthly monitoring of all financial performance across the entities
• Accounting for the local Churches

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high level of computer literacy with advanced skills in accounting software
• Hold qualifications in accounting, finance or relevant discipline.
• Be a practicing baptized member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a strong commitment to its Mission.
• Have the capacity to develop a working knowledge of denominational policies.
• Experience in church accounting would be an advantage
• Hold a valid Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People check/card.
• Have a current Australian Driver’s License.
• Salary to be negotiated in line with Division Wage Schedule
