Seventh-day Adventist Church (Greater Sydney Conference) Ltd, based in Wahroonga, is seeking a part-time Administration Assistant (3 days a week). You will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and passionate team that helps to facilitate growth in discipleship by providing administrative support to our Children and Family Ministry Department as well as our Health Ministry Department

The role
This role will provide high level administrative support to the Family and Children’s Ministry Director by:
- Preparation and maintenance of data bases
- Editing and updating resource booklets
- Helping create, package and distribute resources
- Managing resource collection
- Managing Diary, appointments and preaching plan
- Responding to enquiries
- Event management
This role will provide high level administrative support to the Health Ministry Director by:
- Assisting in event management – preparation towards annual health networking events, committee meetings and training events
Secretarial work and support for committee meetings
Communicating with church members to support them in the health activities
Record-keeping for members database from training and events
Social media communication and marketing coordination of events and training
Assisting in promoting the Adventist healthy lifestyle in the conference
Assisting in operation and logistics for day to day work and events
The successful applicant will:
- Model and nurture an active relationship with Jesus and have the ability to support the ethos of the Church.
Hold appropriate academic qualifications and/or experience in a similar role.
Be computer literate and possess working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Some knowledge of Adobe suite would be helpful.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Have understanding and interest in the Adventist health message and lifestyle medicine
Ability to develop professional relationships with local church, office team and board members.
Be able to work to deadlines and under pressure.
Demonstrate a good work ethic and be able to pay attention to detail.
The successful applicant will be required to provide their WWCC.
