The Seventh-day Adventist Church (SPD) Limited is seeking expressions of interest for 3 full-time finance-related roles based at the head office in Wahroonga, NSW. Commencing in the latter half of 2025, these positions will fill a crucial need within mid-to-senior level finance administration for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific Division (SPD).

Finance Manager will ensure the effective financial stewardship and strategic financial management of the South Pacific Division and its affiliated entities with timely and accurate financial insights and robust financial systems, processes and advisory support to the CFO.

Internal Auditor will examine, verify, evaluate and report on financial, operational and managerial processes, systems and outcomes to ensure financial and operational integrity as well as compliance with church policies, industry regulations, laws and best practice.

External Auditor will conduct audits of denominational clients across the South Pacific region to assess the accuracy of their financial statements and identify non-compliance with church policies and government legislation as may be necessary.

Selection Criteria:

  • Must be eligible to hold the appropriate Seventh-day Adventist church licence or credential.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in finance, audit, management or similar field.
  • Hold current membership as a CPA, CA or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience and working knowledge of the Seventh-day Adventist church and its management including governance structure, policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in the use of information technology and software as required.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of denominational management and accounting practice would be an advantage.
