Job Description
To help the Adventist Heritage Director and team by undertaking a variety of tasks, projects and general operational activities including collecting, preserving, and restoring records pertaining to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific.
Reporting to the Adventist Heritage Director, the casual Heritage Assistant will be called in to assist when there are times of increased need at the Adventist Heritage Centre and Sunnyside Museum. Approximate work hours during these periods could be 8-10 hours per week.
Desired Skills and Experience
Practising, baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a strong commitment to its mission, values and beliefs.
• Be eligible to hold the appropriate Seventh-day Adventist Church licence.
• A working knowledge of the Seventh-day Adventist church and its management throughout the SPD.
• Ability to work cohesively in a team and be supportive of the wider organisation’s strategic direction for Adventist Heritage.
• Well-developed computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organised, with the ability to demonstrate initiative and be self-motivated.
• High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
• Skill in searching and maintaining online and other electronic retrieval systems.
• Skilled or familiarity with social media production and maintenance.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with people from varied roles and backgrounds.
• Current paid NSW working with children check.
