About Sonoma Adventist College:
Sonoma Adventist College is a Seventh-day Adventist tertiary institution located in Kokopo, ENBP, providing Christian Education to Papua New Guineans. The courses offered are Primary Teaching, Business, Ministerial, Agriculture and Building Construction. The College provides quality undergraduate education to all students who desire higher education in a Christian context. Requirements, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential
- Be a practising member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission of the College.
- Be willing to participate actively in the academic, spiritual, cultural and recreational life of the campus.
- Have a tertiary qualification, preferably a Master’s degree, in Business, Accounting, Management or a relevant teaching area.
- Have excellent communication skills and a courteous manner.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team and effectively interface with peers, supervisors, and other staff.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in communicating with staff and students.
- Cooperate with all occupational health & safety policies and procedures related to the work being undertaken and ensure that their actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of others at the College. Promote a safe workplace and identify unsafe practices.
- Understand and support equal opportunity principles.
- Supportive of the mission, values, and ethos of Sonoma Adventist College.
Desirable
- Previous experience in the business sector, leadership and/or tertiary education.
- A Higher Degree qualification in Business, Accounting or Management, or associated relevant qualifications, and experience in classroom lecturing.
