Pacific Adventist University are seeking applicants for a Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Theology position based in Port Moresby, PNG.
The Dean reports directly to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, and is responsible to: provide academic leadership (including the development of research and scholarship) for the disciplines in the School; coordinate, manage and develop the delivery of quality undergraduate and postgraduate education to students in adherence to the academic policies of the Pacific Adventist University Academic Bulletin; and manage, mentor and develop faculty in the School.

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Active relationship with Jesus Christ, characterised by a deep desire for worship and service to God.
- Baptised membership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a strong commitment to its mission.
- Hold current Seventh-day Adventist Church missionary/ministerial/teaching credentials.
- A doctorate (preferably a research PhD) in one or more of the disciplines covered by the School is the desirable academic qualifications, but in exceptional cases a master’s degree in one or more of the disciplines covered by the School may be acceptable.
- A sound working knowledge of, and proven loyalty to, the church, its organisation and policies.
- Significant experience in a tertiary institution in one or more of the disciplines within the school is recommended.
- A dean must have the capacity to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and have an interest in and aptitude for cross-cultural ministry.
