Faith FM is seeking expressions of interest for a full-time Administrative Assistant. This role is focused on responsive administrative and listener engagement support to the Faith FM team. The Administrative Assistant position is responsible for receiving and responding to listener enquiries; coordinating listener follow-up; arranging resource fulfilment and local church connection; and supporting the Faith FM team with practical day-to-day administrative  

You’ll play a key role in elevating Faith FM’s visibility and connection Australia wide as well as within the team, helping us fulfill our mission to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, we are looking for expressions of interest from a practicing and committed member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church who has an active relationship with Jesus Christ and a deep desire for worship and service to God.  

In addition to your commitment to our mission, you should possess the following: 

  • Demonstrated experience in administration, customer service, ministry support, or a similar stakeholder-focused environment. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate professionally and compassionately with Faith FM listeners, church members, pastors, volunteers, staff and the wider public. 

  • Confidence to provide basic spiritual encouragement and prayer where appropriate, with sound judgement to escalate sensitive, complex or pastoral matters when required. 

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks, changing priorities and varying volumes of work. 

  • Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office tools, CRM systems, website tools, social media platforms and other digital communication systems. 

  • Ability and confidence to learn new systems, processes and workflows quickly. 

  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive listener, church and organisational information. 

  • Self-motivation and discipline, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of the Faith FM and AUC office teams. 

  • Flexibility and willingness to support reception duties, events, meetings and other administrative needs as required.
