The South Pacific Division (SPD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to support two dynamic ministry leaders within our Ministry and Strategy Team (MST). This full-time role, based at our Wahroonga office, will report to the Director of MST while providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to the directors of:

  • Children’s and Women’s Ministries
  • Discipleship, Personal Ministries and Sabbath School

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage correspondence, scheduling, travel arrangements, and event logistics
  • Maintain filing and record management systems
  • Contribute and maintain departmental websites and social media platforms
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of ministry resources
  • Provide relief support for SPD office and reception
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across the South Pacific region

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Practising, baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a strong commitment and belief in the teachings, values, and mission of the Church.
  • Relevant qualifications in Secretarial or Office Administration.
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in office administration or a similar role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to diverse individuals.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.

Preferred

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Experience preparing presentations and reports.
  • Understanding of the Seventh-day Adventist Church structure in the South Pacific.
  • Prior administrative support experience in an Adventist ministry context would be beneficial.

  • Must show evidence of current unrestricted work rights in Australia.
