The South Pacific Division (SPD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to support two dynamic ministry leaders within our Ministry and Strategy Team (MST). This full-time role, based at our Wahroonga office, will report to the Director of MST while providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to the directors of:
- Children’s and Women’s Ministries
- Discipleship, Personal Ministries and Sabbath School
Key Responsibilities
- Manage correspondence, scheduling, travel arrangements, and event logistics
- Maintain filing and record management systems
- Contribute and maintain departmental websites and social media platforms
- Assist in the creation and distribution of ministry resources
- Provide relief support for SPD office and reception
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across the South Pacific region
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Practising, baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a strong commitment and belief in the teachings, values, and mission of the Church.
- Relevant qualifications in Secretarial or Office Administration.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in office administration or a similar role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to diverse individuals.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
Preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Experience preparing presentations and reports.
- Understanding of the Seventh-day Adventist Church structure in the South Pacific.
- Prior administrative support experience in an Adventist ministry context would be beneficial.
